Pioneertown on route 62 in Yucca Valley was built in the 1940s as a western movie set. Roy Rogers was one of the original developers and Gene Autry shot his televisions show there. It's really chilly so being a coat or two. Pappy & Harriets is a nice place for a beer if you need to warm up a bit.
