Ain't Nobody Got Thyme For That
Summer in Vancouver usually means rained out beach birthday parties, overcast mornings and unless you are one of those guys who moved here from Alberta after university and wears shorts all year round (and not to vastly over-generalise but often is named Brian, Trevor or Dave, calls Vancouver "Van", has a Canadian flag tattoo somewhere inconspicuous on his body and would love to learn to surf in Tofino but instead is really into craft beer and outdoor concerts with "the wife" ..........you know who you are) then the dress code is decidedly on the always bring a coat because you might get cold once the sun goes down side. That said this past month has been glorious and Mr. Bunndini has worn a breezy dress on several occasions often late into the evening and will do so again tonight with or without your blessing. I may even have a tan on one or both of my legs.

When The Moon Hits Your Eye Like A Big Pizza Pie
The addition of Fortunato the espresso machine to my life (and kitchen counter) has put a decided spring in my morning step. On this Tuesday in particular after a sun and sake/beer/strongbow/whiskey filled long weekend his presence is greatly appreciated. Ti amo amante.

Open Up A Can Of Peaches On The World Why Don't You
The rain fell yesterday for the first time in 34 days. It was the only precipitation-free July on record since 1937 when the taking of such records began. Mr. Bunndini celebrated this momentous occasion by eating too much peruvian and subsequently waging a deadly gas attack on my apartment all morning long. Just be thankful that you are not my duvet.

You May Wreck Yourself If You Do Not Check Yourself
If I can just locate my keys I'm off to Spa Spandinave in Whistler for the day
I'm super excited
I'm going to get all wet and lie in hot pools for hours
Get a Swedish massage
Or maybe a deep tissue massage if I can figured out what the difference is
Then drive home and have 6-8 uninterrupted hours of sleep (you heard me crying baby downstairs and barking dog next door)

Ain't No Warning Like A Bivalve Shellfish Warning
Bunndini and his cohorts spent the past week island hopping via ferry to Galliano then via float plane to Thetis then via ferry to Chemainus to stock up on supplies.
Algae Frankenstein and her anxiety were not please with the jauntiness of the float plane but Strongbow comforted them both immediately upon arrival.
Beers were consumed beginning at 11:36am daily. Sunburns were achieved. Books were partially read. Hair was not washed.
Jo Jo the starfish liked it when we played jenga with him.
Throwing caution (and paralytic shellfish poisoning) to the wind Mr. Bunndini and Dr. Stapler ate fresh oysters topless on a deserted beach (beach not pictured). Lacking tools I flung the oysters against the rocks until they popped open. Several oysters were critically harmed in this endeavour but the sandpipers cleaned up the mess.
An entire bottle of small batch bourbon from Texas was imbibed on this rock and skinny dipping may or may not have occurred (depending on who you ask).
